BrightPath BillBuffer Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
BrightPath BillBuffer is a financial planning app from BrightPath Ventures Group. This policy explains how the app handles your information and how website visits and support requests differ from using the app.
Information stored on your device
BillBuffer stores the planning information you enter locally on your device. This may include balances, paydays, bills, spending plans, savings goals, debt scenarios, household settings, and notes.
BillBuffer does not require a BrightPath account, connect to your bank, initiate payments, or send your financial plan to BrightPath servers.
The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not sell your entered financial information or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
No automatic plan sharing
Your plan does not automatically synchronize between devices or other BrightPath apps.
Opening BillBuffer through a link in another app does not import or share your financial records.
Purchases
Apple processes in-app purchases. BillBuffer uses verified purchase information from Apple to determine whether Premium features are available. BillBuffer does not receive your payment-card details.
Apple handles its services according to its own App Store privacy practices.
Restoring purchases restores eligible Premium access—not your saved financial records.
Optional device features
Face ID and device passcode: If you enable the privacy lock, BillBuffer receives an authentication result from your device. It does not receive your biometric information or passcode.
Notifications: With your permission, BillBuffer schedules reminders locally. Reminder notifications do not include financial amounts.
Siri and Shortcuts: Optional actions use a locally saved planning summary and require device authentication.
Apple Intelligence: On supported devices, you may request a planning brief generated using Apple’s on-device model. BillBuffer does not send those inputs or outputs to a BrightPath AI server. If the model is unavailable, the app provides a non-AI summary. These features do not change your saved plan.
Exports and sharing
You may create JSON or PDF summaries and choose to share them through your device’s system share sheet.
These files may contain financial information. The recipient or service you select handles shared copies under its own privacy practices.
Temporary export files may remain in the app’s local temporary storage until removed by the operating system or deletion of the app.
Retention and deletion
Deleting an entry removes it from your active plan. Deleting the app removes its local app data, although independently shared copies and operating-system backups may remain.
JSON and PDF exports are read-only summaries, not complete restorable backups. BillBuffer cannot import them to recover a deleted plan. Contact support before deleting the app to troubleshoot a problem.
Website and support requests
Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Visiting the website or submitting a contact form is separate from BillBuffer’s local financial storage. Website hosting, forms, and cookies are subject to the website’s notices and Squarespace’s practices.
If you contact us, we use the contact information and message you provide to respond to your request. Do not send passwords, verification codes, bank account numbers, payment-card details, or unnecessary financial documents.
Privacy questions
For privacy questions or requests concerning information you provided through support, use our BrightPath Ventures Group contact form.
Please identify BillBuffer in your message.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
