CommissionCheck is provided by BrightPath Ventures (“BrightPath,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled by the CommissionCheck iPhone application and related CommissionCheck support pages.

Privacy at a Glance

CommissionCheck is designed to work locally on your iPhone.

  • No BrightPath account is required.

  • Commission records are stored locally on your device.

  • We do not connect to carrier or bank accounts.

  • We do not request bank credentials or carrier passwords.

  • The app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

  • Statement recognition and supported Apple Intelligence features use Apple frameworks.

  • Files leave the app only when you choose to export or share them.

Information Stored on Your Device

You may enter or import information such as:

  • Expected commission amounts

  • Carrier and product names

  • Case, client, or policy references

  • Deposit and payment information

  • Chargebacks

  • Agent splits and advances

  • Renewal schedules

  • Recovery cases and notes

  • An optional business profile

This information is stored in CommissionCheck’s local database on your iPhone. The current version does not transmit this information to BrightPath servers.

Do not enter bank credentials, carrier usernames or passwords, Social Security numbers, or other information that is not necessary for commission reconciliation.

Statement Recognition

If you use statement scanning, CommissionCheck processes a captured or selected statement using Apple recognition frameworks. Extracted line items require your review before they are saved.

CommissionCheck does not send statement images or recognized commission information to BrightPath or a third-party scanning provider.

Apple Intelligence

On supported devices, CommissionCheck may use Apple’s Foundation Models framework to assist with statement extraction, record-based questions, summaries, and carrier follow-up drafts.

CommissionCheck’s current Apple Intelligence integration uses Apple’s system model and does not send your commission records to BrightPath. Generated information may be incomplete or inaccurate and must be reviewed before use. Financial calculations remain deterministic and are not delegated to a generative model.

Availability depends on the device, operating system, language, region, Apple Intelligence settings, and model availability.

Face ID

CommissionCheck Pro can use Face ID to protect access to sensitive records.

Face ID authentication is performed by iOS and Apple’s Secure Enclave. CommissionCheck receives only an authentication result. BrightPath does not receive or store your face image, biometric template, or other biometric data.

Notifications

CommissionCheck may request permission to create local payment or follow-up reminders. Notification content and schedules are managed on your device.

You can change notification permission at any time in iPhone Settings.

Home Screen Widget

CommissionCheck’s optional widget uses a limited local snapshot shared through an Apple App Group.

The widget does not receive client names, carrier names, product names, policy references, or individual commission records. Dollar amounts are displayed only if you enable that option. Counts-only privacy mode is the default.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.

BrightPath does not receive or store your full payment-card information, bank information, or Apple Account password. Apple may provide BrightPath with purchase status, transaction, financial, and sales-reporting information needed to operate and manage in-app purchases.

Apple processes this information according to its own privacy policy and applicable App Store terms.

Exports and Sharing

CommissionCheck can create CSV, PDF, and BrightPath suite JSON exports at your request.

Exported files leave CommissionCheck only when you choose to save or share them using Apple’s system interfaces. After export, the file is controlled by the destination, recipient, or storage provider you select.

You are responsible for protecting exported files and ensuring that they are shared only with appropriate recipients.

Information We Do Not Collect Through the App

The current version of CommissionCheck does not collect or transmit to BrightPath:

  • Bank or payment-card credentials

  • Carrier account credentials

  • Social Security numbers

  • Precise or approximate location

  • Contacts

  • Advertising identifiers

  • Browsing history

  • App-usage analytics

  • Commission records

  • Statement images

  • Face ID or biometric information

CommissionCheck does not track you across apps or websites and does not use your information for third-party advertising.

Support Communications

If you contact BrightPath for support, we may receive the information you voluntarily provide, such as:

  • Your name

  • Email address

  • App version

  • Device and iOS version

  • Support message

  • Screenshots or attachments you choose to provide

We use this information only to respond to your request, troubleshoot problems, protect the service, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Do not include confidential client information, full policy numbers, carrier passwords, bank credentials, or Social Security numbers in support requests.

Support information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to address the request and satisfy legal, security, or recordkeeping requirements.

Website Information

When you visit a CommissionCheck support or privacy webpage, the website and its hosting providers may process limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, request time, security logs, and cookie preferences.

This information is used to deliver, protect, and maintain the website. Website access does not give BrightPath access to records stored inside CommissionCheck.

Sharing and Disclosure

BrightPath does not sell CommissionCheck app data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Limited information may be processed by:

  • Apple, for App Store purchases and Apple platform services

  • Website, email, or support providers when you visit the website or contact support

  • Government authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security

Service providers are permitted to process information only for the services they provide to BrightPath and are expected to protect it appropriately.

Data Retention and Deletion

Commission records remain on your device until you delete them.

You can delete all local CommissionCheck records from the app’s Settings screen. You can also remove the app from your iPhone. Deletion may be subject to iOS device backup and restoration settings controlled through your Apple Account.

BrightPath cannot retrieve, delete, or restore locally stored CommissionCheck records because BrightPath does not possess them.

For support information held by BrightPath, you may request access or deletion by contacting us. Some information may be retained when required by law or necessary for security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.

Security

CommissionCheck relies on iOS data protection and offers an optional Face ID Privacy Lock.

No security method is guaranteed to prevent every risk. Keep your iPhone and iOS software updated, use a strong device passcode, and protect exported files.

Children’s Privacy

CommissionCheck is a professional business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information through a support request, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information held by BrightPath, including rights to request access, correction, or deletion.

Most CommissionCheck information is stored only on your device and must be managed directly in the app. For support or website information held by BrightPath, submit a request using the contact information below.

We may need to verify a request before completing it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when CommissionCheck, applicable law, or our data practices change.

The updated policy will be posted at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or App Store listing when appropriate.
