Lampwell Privacy Policy

Lampwell is provided by Pedro Ignacio / BrightPath Ventures Group ("we," "us," or "our"). Lampwell is designed for private Bible study. It contains no advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking, and we do not sell personal information.

STUDY DATA

Journal entries, highlights, carried truths, prayers, reading progress, and preferences are stored on your device. Lampwell does not require an account.

OPTIONAL PRIVATE ICLOUD SYNC

If you enable iCloud sync, Lampwell stores study data in your private CloudKit database under your Apple Account so it can follow you between your devices. We cannot browse that private database through the app. Turning sync off keeps future changes on the device.

SCRIPTURE SERVICE

When you request connected Scripture content, Lampwell sends the requested Bible reference and a random installation identifier to our Cloudflare-hosted Scripture gateway. The identifier is used only for short-lived rate limiting. It is not tied to your identity, used for advertising, or used to build a profile. The gateway requests authorized content from API.Bible. Journal entries and prayer text are never sent to the gateway or API.Bible.

WIDGET AND NOTIFICATIONS

The widget receives only the verse, reference, translation attribution, and takeaway you choose through an Apple App Group. Journal and prayer text are never placed in the widget. If you enable a reminder, its schedule is stored and delivered by your device.

RETENTION AND DELETION

Deleting Lampwell removes local study data. If private iCloud sync was enabled, synced data may remain in your iCloud account until you remove it there.

CHILDREN

Lampwell is a general-audience Bible study app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

SECURITY AND CHANGES

We minimize data transmission and use Apple platform protections for local data. No storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure. We may update this policy as Lampwell changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
