BrightPath Collect support

Getting started
Use Add to record one physical copy. Choose the category first; card, comic, game and custom fields stay separate. Each added copy has its own identity, even when catalog details match.
Reviewed Pokémon lookup
In Pokémon capture, choose Find in Pokémon catalog, enter a card name and Search. Choose a printing, check the set and number against your card, enter finish/variant, then use the reviewed fields. Only name/set/number/variant are prefilled. Condition, grade, acquisition cost and location remain manual. TCGdex receives the search term and selected record ID. No catalog images, recognition or live prices are provided. Other categories are manual. If lookup fails or is incomplete, cancel it and continue manual entry.
Photos
Open an owned copy, add a personal photo using the system picker or camera, review it, then Save. Cancel preserves the saved collection. Enable camera permission in iOS Settings if previously denied. Saved photos are normalized; keep originals separately.
Goals and wishlist
Desired quantity is the total you want, including matching copies you own. Targets create no physical copies. Exact identity compares the manual fields; Any card variant relaxes only the card variant. Sales/trade-outs reduce owned progress; reversals restore the same copy to progress.
Completed sales and trade-outs
Open an owned copy and choose Record a completed sale or trade-out. Record only an event that already happened. Review and confirm. Sale proceeds are optional exact USD cents, separate from original acquisition cost; an unrecorded amount differs from zero. Trade-out requires a description. Add anything received separately as a new physical copy. No listing, payment or transaction is performed.
History and reversal
Open sale & trade history to view retained records. Original copy identity, acquisition information and photos stay in complete backups. Review an active sale/trade-out reversal to restore ownership without erasing the earlier event. History currently shows retained photo counts; it is not a photo-gallery view.
Removal
Review removal of an eligible copy/photo, then confirm. History-referenced copies/photos cannot be removed through these controls, including after reversal. Prior snapshots and exports may retain removed data; removal is not a purge of those files.
Backups and migration
Export a complete .collecthistory package with retained copies, photos, plans and history. Older planning/photo/JSON files remain importable after review; older app versions cannot read the newer history envelope. Merge adds compatible records and skips identical ones; conflicts reject the whole merge. Restore replaces the current collection after preview and confirmation, retaining exact prior bytes in recovery. Reviewed storage upgrade retains original files. Keep a private export off-device; backups are unencrypted.
Recovery and conflicts
Backups → Recovery snapshots opens prior saves for review/restore. Counts distinguish owned from retained copies. If a draft is stale, cancel and reopen the latest record. If storage is unreadable, preserve an export/recovery file before troubleshooting. Avoid deleting the app as a first troubleshooting step.
Export a recovery file
In Backups → Recovery snapshots, Export original file saves a selected snapshot without restoring your collection. It also works for a file that cannot pass restore review. The original remains on this device after export or cancellation. Verify your saved copy before relying on it as an off-device backup. No snapshots are automatically removed.
Contact
Email pedro.ignacio@brightpathventuresgroup.com with app version, device/OS and the steps that failed. Remove private details from screenshots. Do not send personal photos, complete backups, grading certificates or private acquisition notes.
Selected recovery removal
In Recovery snapshots, Review removal identifies one file before a separate permanent-delete confirmation. Export original file is available before removal. This removes only the selected recovery payload; the current collection, migration originals, other snapshots, external backups and operation records remain. A removal receipt remains visible if refreshing the file list fails. Refresh before selecting another removal. Interrupted retained files can be inspected and exported. Removal does not guarantee secure erasure or reclaimed storage. No automatic pruning occurs.
Retained recovery retry
A verified file retained after an earlier removal can be reviewed again using Review removal retry. A fresh review and separate permanent confirmation authorize one attempt. Unknown, partial or changed operation records block retry and remain preserved; verified bytes can still be exported. Repeated refresh failures preserve the recorded outcome and require successful refresh before another removal. No automatic retry or operation-record cleanup occurs.
Larger text and backups
At accessibility text sizes, Backups and recovery opens a scrollable action sheet. Scroll to export, merge, restore or Recovery snapshots. Cancel closes the sheet without starting an action. Import and recovery removal still require their separate reviews and confirmations.
