Frequently Asked Questions
Where is my information stored?
CommissionCheck stores its records locally on your iPhone using Apple’s data-protection technologies. The app does not require a BrightPath account or upload your commission records to BrightPath.
Does CommissionCheck connect to carriers or banks?
No. CommissionCheck does not connect to carrier portals, bank accounts, or payment processors. Deposits, expected commissions, and chargebacks are entered or imported by you.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open CommissionCheck and go to:
Settings → Restore Purchases
Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open:
Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions → CommissionCheck
You can also visit:
https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
Deleting CommissionCheck does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
What is included in the free tier?
The free tier supports up to 25 expected commission entries, along with deposits, chargebacks, discrepancy alerts, monthly summaries, and CSV export.
What does CommissionCheck Pro include?
CommissionCheck Pro unlocks unlimited expected commission entries, PDF and BrightPath suite exports, and Face ID Privacy Lock.
The monthly plan also includes on-device statement scanning and eligible Apple Intelligence features.
Why is statement scanning unavailable?
Statement scanning requires an active monthly subscription. Camera scanning must be performed on a supported physical iPhone with camera permission enabled.
Recognized information must be reviewed before it is added to your records.
Why is Apple Intelligence unavailable?
Apple Intelligence features require a supported iPhone, compatible iOS version, supported language and region, Apple Intelligence enabled, and the required on-device model downloaded.
CommissionCheck provides standard alternatives when Apple Intelligence is unavailable.
How do I export my information?
Open Settings and select one of the available export options:
Export all records as CSV
Export a monthly PDF
Export a BrightPath suite JSON backup
Exported files leave CommissionCheck only when you choose to save or share them.
How do I move my records to another device?
Create a BrightPath suite JSON export on the original device. Transfer the file securely, install CommissionCheck on the new device, and select Import BrightPath Suite JSON in Settings.
Review the imported records before deleting information from the original device.
How do I delete my information?
Open CommissionCheck and go to:
Settings → Delete All Local Records
You can also delete the app to remove its local app data, subject to Apple’s device backup and restoration settings.
Deletion cannot be undone unless you previously created an export or device backup.
Does CommissionCheck provide tax, accounting, or legal advice?
No. CommissionCheck is an organizational and reconciliation tool. It does not replace official carrier statements or provide accounting, tax, legal, insurance, or investment advice.
