BrightPath SafetyNet Support

BrightPath SafetyNet helps individuals and families create an emergency-fund roadmap using assumptions they control. Map essential expenses, explore possible disruptions, track your financial runway, and build a practical contribution plan—without connecting a bank account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my financial information private?

Yes. BrightPath SafetyNet is designed to be local-first. Your roadmap and financial entries remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them. The app does not require bank linking or an account.

You can enable Face ID protection in Settings for additional privacy.

Does BrightPath tell me how much I must save?

No. BrightPath presents educational planning ranges based on the expenses, deductibles, dependents, income stability, and scenarios you enter. Every assumption is visible and editable.

BrightPath does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, medical, or insurance advice.

How are savings targets calculated?

Your range may consider:

  • Essential monthly expenses

  • The number of months you choose to model

  • Income stability

  • Dependents

  • Medical and property deductibles

  • One-time emergency costs

  • Income expected during each disruption

  • Scenarios you choose to include

Open the assumptions section in the app to review or change any input.

Does BrightPath require bank access?

No. BrightPath SafetyNet does not connect to banks in version 1. You enter and update your savings information manually.

How does Apple Intelligence work?

On compatible devices and supported system versions, BrightPath can optionally use Apple Intelligence to summarize your roadmap and suggest preparedness actions. These suggestions do not replace your calculations, change your plan automatically, or provide financial or insurance recommendations.

Core roadmap features remain available without Apple Intelligence.

How do I create a readiness PDF?

In BrightPath SafetyNet, open Settings and select Readiness PDF under Your data. Readiness PDFs require Premium. Review the report, then use Apple's share sheet to save, print, or share it. Only share reports with people and services you trust.

How do reminders work?

BrightPath uses local notifications to remind you about contributions or roadmap reviews. Reminders are optional and can be changed or disabled in Settings. Notification permission can also be managed in the iPhone Settings app.

How do I enable Face ID?

Open BrightPath SafetyNet, go to Settings, and enable Face ID protection. Your device may ask for permission. If Face ID is unavailable, the device passcode may be offered when supported.

How do I export my data?

Open Settings and select the data export option. BrightPath will prepare an export that you can save or share using Apple’s system share sheet.

How do I reset my roadmap?

Open Settings and choose Delete all local data. Read the confirmation carefully: this permanently removes local planning information. Export your information first if you need a separate reference copy. An export is not an in-app restore backup; the current app does not offer an import/restore workflow for exported roadmap files. Do not delete the app to troubleshoot a purchase.

Purchases and existing annual access

BrightPath SafetyNet includes a useful free plan. SafetyNet Premium is a one-time individual purchase for unlimited essential expenses, custom scenarios, and readiness PDFs in this app. It does not automatically renew. The App Store displays your local price before purchase.

The former annual household plan is no longer offered for new purchases. Existing valid annual access remains recognized for its applicable paid period. Purchases are processed by Apple and associated with your Apple Account.

Restore a purchase

Open Settings in BrightPath SafetyNet and select Restore purchases. Sign in with the Apple Account associated with the purchase. Restore purchases restores eligible paid access; it does not recover deleted roadmap information.

### Existing subscriptions

If you previously purchased an annual subscription, review its status in iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions > BrightPath SafetyNet. Apple manages subscription records. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

### Family access

The current lifetime offer is for individual access and does not promise Family Sharing. Eligible existing annual Family Sharing access is recognized through Apple's verified current entitlements. This does not mean the annual plan remains available for new purchases.

Voluntary Protection Review

After completing certain scenarios, BrightPath may offer an optional protection review. Participation is voluntary. Declining it does not affect your roadmap or access to the app.

BrightPath does not automatically recommend or purchase an insurance product.

Troubleshooting

If the app does not open or remains on a loading screen:

  1. Install the latest BrightPath SafetyNet update.

  2. Restart your iPhone.

  3. Confirm that your device has available storage.

  4. Reopen the app.

Avoid deleting the app before exporting your data, because locally stored information may be removed.
